President George W. Bush, quoted in Politico:
"I didn't want some mom whose son may have recently died to see the commander in chief playing golf. I feel I owe it to the families to be in solidarity as best as I can with them. And I think playing golf during a war just sends the wrong signal."
Hear that, America? Our Commander in Chief has given up golf for the past five years to show how he's really in this with our troops and their families. And all this time, I have been thinking that he's a bit out of touch with reality and perhaps a little selfish.
He sure proved me wrong.

I would strongly suspect he lied about this one too. He got lot of friends with golf courses in gated communities.
